On his site, CookTasteEat, Mina and Michelle Branch create a super simple guacamole, and he shares a trick that will change your life! And don't forget about all the amazing health benefits of avocados...non-animal source of protein, Vitamin C, potassium and a source of "good" fat.
Here is MY quick and easy Guac recipe!
3 ripe avocados
1/3 medium onion (finely chopped)
Juice from 1/2 lime
2 Tbsp fresh cilantro (chopped)
1/8 tsp garlic powder
Salt & Pepper to taste
Optional: 2 tsp jalapeno (chopped), 1/2 tomato (diced)
Using Michael Mina’s avocado cutting trick, dice avocado. Stir in the rest of the ingredients. You can mash the avocado or use a molcajete (as shown above) if you prefer a creamier guacamole.
