Be Your Own Valentine

Be your own Valentine.

How do you feel when you read that statement? It used to make me feel lonely but now I read it and I feel empowered.

I am sure you’ve heard the term self-love. I’ve even created a workshop around the subject! I believe self-love is the inspiration for self-care practices like getting a massage or getting together with girlfriends to just have some fun. It can also look like reading a book or taking a bath.

What does self-love mean to you?

Self-love is the ability to be happy with oneself, to take the steps necessary to fill your own energetic cup, to take the time for self-care practices and most importantly, not feel guilty about it!

What can you do today to show yourself some love and be your own Valentine this year? And know that self-love is an everyday gig…not just once a year!

I'd love it if you left a comment below sharing how you show yourself love and what self-care practices you have! :)

I try and make sure I get adequate sleep, exercise, nourishing and healing foods, plus ME time (which can be a bath, a solo snowshoe, yoga, meditation, solo travel). No one can ever love us as well as we should love ourselves and we come to relationships healthier and wiser when we practice self compassion and care.

    Great post!
