INTERMISSION™: Wednesday Wisdom - Fun & Stoic Games
(Check out my oracle card theme reading post from Monday) 😁
I talked a bit about Joe Rogan who I wouldn't equate with Stoicism but apparently he's all about it. Who knew? 🤷♂️
And he is quoted as saying, "If you ever start taking things too seriously, just remember that we are talking monkeys on an organic spaceship flying through the universe." Something about that struck me as funny yet profound. And reminded me that we often take life so seriously when it's meant to be fun. 💃 Perhaps if we thought of life as a game or a dance and approached each person and situation as a partner with whom we might learn a new step or refine one we already know, it would feel easier, lighter and more fun.
I mentioned quite a few quotes in the video and won't bore you with all of them here but do want to leave you with the gist and overarching theme... Dont wait to demand the best for yourself.
A bit of struggle is part of the process but it's how you perceive it that makes the biggest difference on how it impacts you overall.
And one final thought from Voltaire...
"Uncertainty is an uncomfortable position. But certainty is an absurd one." So freaking true.
Remember we learn from one another so please share this wisdom with those who may need it today. Xo
INTERMISSION™: Ground Yo'self
Some of you may wonder wtf grounding actually is. 🤔
It's a practice to foster our earth connection... a way for any excess energy to flow into the earth while allowing the supportive, nurturing earth energy to flow up to us.
It's a beautiful practice that offers us relief from anxiety, discomfort, a feeling of being stuck or unfocused and not feeling emotionally supported.
We have energy centers on the bottoms of our feet and when we bring the soles of our feet to the earth, we are connecting into the energetic field of the earth 🌎
I shared a few techniques to release stuck energy and ground you quickly in the video...Check 'em out!
The Blow Out
I'd love to know what you think and if they helped!
We learn from one another. Xo
INTERMISSION™: Wednesday Wisdom - Amor Fati (Love your Fate)
How do you feel when reading those words?
Resistance. Comfort. Ease.
We still find ourselves in this Intermission period of time between Acts I and II. And while life is beginning to open up a bit, there's still loads of uncertainty.
Everyone has been affected in one way or another.
If your life is not feeling great right now and the uncertainty is beginning to or continuing to feel quite heavy, the thought of Amor Fati was likely met with resistance and perhaps annoyance.
But here's the thing, you're not quite ready for what fate has in store for you... Yet.
The opportunity you're looking for isn't quite ready either. Otherwise, like magents, you'd be drawn together.
So if you're able to radically accept where you are now, love your life as it is right now and know that when the time is right, your life will unfold in the most perfect way for you. ❤️ We learn from one another. Xo
INTERMISSION™: The Beauty & Magic of a Single Flower
A flower that sits on a table in my home.
It was a gift from someone special so it holds even more meaning.
This single flower holds the magic and majesty of nature.🏵️ If you think about it, what did it take for that flower to grow?
Who planted the seed?
Who fed and watered it?
How many hours of sunlight were required for it to sprout, to grow, to bloom? 🌱
How many hands touched it before it made its way to me?
It's pretty profound to think of all the flowers that grow and do their thing without worry or anxiety or fear they're doing something wrong.
They know to grow and bloom.
We have the same ability. To surrender into who we're meant to be.
As Eckhart Tolle says in his book The Power of Now, "to relinquish inner resistance to what is."
And in The New Earth, to "appreciate something simple - a sight, a sound, a touch - when you see beauty, when you feel loving kindness toward another, sense the inner spaciousness that is the source and the background to that experience." then being is bliss.
Doesn't that feel easier?
Isn't that simpler?
We make it harder than it needs to be.
Look at a flower and take in its beauty, complexity and magic while feeling how easy it is to be exactly what you're meant to be when you surrender to what it, to who you are and allow life to unfold as it's meant to be.
(if even for a few minutes a day 😊)! Let me know what you think about the nature of flowers... We learn from one another. Xo
INTERMISSION™: Respond Instead of Reacting
How many of you tend to launch a defensive attack when you feel someone has wronged you? ✋ Um, yeah. Me too.
It was very much a part life when my marriage was falling apart.
He would say or do something that I perceived as an attack or caused pain within me and I'd react immediately from that place of pain which then led to a bigger conflict that was often left unresolved.
Had I taken a moment to breathe and look at WHY I was feeling what I was feeling and RESPOND from that place instead of reacting, I'd likely have seen that oftentimes it had little to do with him and more to do with a wound within me that needed some love and attention.
If we're able to see that relationships are our mirrors and make a conscious choice to take responsibility for how we respond in those moments when we're emotionally stirred up, we'd likely not escalate a small disagreement into an all out war! 🤯
Give it a try next time someone upsets you.
See if you're able to take a breath and respond instead of reacting from a place of pain inside yourself.
You may be pleasantly surprised how empowering it feels to change the pattern.
Let me know how it goes... We learn from one another. Xo
INTERMISSION™: Find Your Tribe & New Journal Bundles
🔥 Hot off the presses...new & improved INTERMISSION Journal Bundles with new prompts that will change how you approach your day/week!
And the card for the week is
from Wisdom of the Oracle deck by Colette Baron-Reid
My interpretation of The Tribe is about finding "your people" if you haven't already. People who are like minded but not necessarily the same.
There's beauty in having similar values and interests but there's equal value in learning from our differences too.
Finding your tribe gives you a sense of community and togetherness...of belonging.
As humans, we are wired for connection and belonging. We long for it.
If you've already found your tribe, can you reconnect or contribute in a different way?
Remember we learn from one another so get out out there and share with your tribe!
INTERMISSION™: Love is Healing
I woke with NO inspiration for what to talk about!
I grabbed my coffee ☕ (because you know I can't even begin to think without it!) and decided to sit on my balcony and read for a bit hoping inspiration would come.
Nothing from the book inspired me BUT I was inspired to get the book Journey to the Heart off my bookshelf...turned to a page at random and there it was...inspiration!
The passage I shared today spoke of how we are all healers because we are able to and are love.
Love is Healing.
So no matter your profession, you are a healer. A healer of self and others by showing and expressing your love.
Accept who you are, where you are and go forth today in l❤️ve.
We learn from one another...share the 💙.
INTERMISSION™: High Vibe Emotions & Flower Friday
We're moving on up the emotional ladder with #kindness, #love and #peace.
🤗Kindness being a place where compassionate, interconnected action springs forth.
♥️Love as a way of being that facilitates healing and transforms life...empowering us and those around us.
✌️Peace being a state of no conflict, absence of negativity and inner quiet.
Love emanates from the heart.
The heart KNOWS.
The mind THINKS.
Tapping into the heart...the center of our being. The heart center is the bridge between our connection to a higher power and our earthly selves.
I envision this energy center as a brilliant green with a pink center similar to the #FlowerFriday card for today from @lotuswei Flower Evolution deck!
Hong Kong Orchid
