INTERMISSION™: Wednesday Wisdom - Opportunity for Kindness
"Wherever there is a human being, there is an opportunity for kindness."
I believe this wholeheartedly to be true. 💟
We are all capable of being kind, compassionate and loving if we choose to be. *️⃣ "All cruelty springs from weakness."
"It is a rough road that leads to the heights of greatness."
The above quotes from Seneca illustrate pretty clearly where we are right now as a society. The cruelty we are experiencing stems from weakness and the need for control...to overpower and dominate.
There's no room for that when you operate from a loving, compassionate place.
This rough road will lead to a better world if we can stand strong together. 💪 💪🏽 💪🏿 I invite you to start and end your day in gratitude and...
"Every night before going to sleep, we must ask ourselves: what weakness did I overcome today? What virtue did I acquire?"
And take it one step further by asking... What am I grateful for today?
You can only increase your sense of peace and harmony when you're in gratitude.
What better way to fall asleep?
We learn from one another. Xo
INTERMISSION™: Ground Yo'self
Some of you may wonder wtf grounding actually is. 🤔
It's a practice to foster our earth connection... a way for any excess energy to flow into the earth while allowing the supportive, nurturing earth energy to flow up to us.
It's a beautiful practice that offers us relief from anxiety, discomfort, a feeling of being stuck or unfocused and not feeling emotionally supported.
We have energy centers on the bottoms of our feet and when we bring the soles of our feet to the earth, we are connecting into the energetic field of the earth 🌎
I shared a few techniques to release stuck energy and ground you quickly in the video...Check 'em out!
The Blow Out
I'd love to know what you think and if they helped!
We learn from one another. Xo
INTERMISSION™: Flower Friday & Loving New Moon
Today is a new moon in Taurus if following the Vedic system.
Taurus is all about love 😍 as it's ruled by Venus...the planet of
This new moon encourages us to focus on loving and connecting with ourselves and others.
The intentions set during this new moon are foundational for this upcoming moon cycle and the Taurean energy carries over for the next 30 days.
What intentions are you setting with love, harmony and connection in mind?
And to further support this process, the #FlowerFriday card from @lotuswei Flower Evolution deck is
Dissolves: giving away too much energy, self-sacrifice, martyrdom
Magnifies: Feeling complete, worth, whole. Retaining own energy and protection from burnout and resentment
Message: Take exquisite care of yourself.
One final word on L💜VE from Postcards from Spirit by @colettebaron_reid...
"Love is the answer to literally everything."
"What would love do?" Please share with someone you love... We learn from one another. Xo
INTERMISSION™: Compassionate Expression
While I didn't completely agree at the time, I decided to pay closer attention to the words I chose and how those words came out of my mouth.
I even went so far as to record myself so I could hear whet the other person was hearing.
And dang, if they weren't right (sometimes)! 🕵️♀️ I'm now able to 'hear' myself in the moment better and often recognize when Witchy Amalia is in the house. And when I do, I immediately apologize and clarify what was intended.
I feel better and the other person feels better.
Other times, it's not even about what we said or how we said it, it's based more on the other person's wounds. Those places deep inside of them that have been hurt, abandoned or rejected. They feel like they're not enough and go straight into their pain.
💥 What was in the reality of the moment a seemingly small thing turns into an explosive reaction because all the pain and hurt from likely a lifetime has now come roaring to the surface.
If you're able to recognize what may have been said or how it was received by the other person and put yourself in their position, perhaps you'll find a bit of compassion there for you and them and be from there find a path to peace... And who knows, maybe even add a brick to the foundation of an even more solid relationship.
We learn from one another. Xo
INTERMISSION™: Relationship with Yourself First
You know what I mean? 🤔
I'd love to hear what you think of them and if there's anything else you'd like for me to talk about in the future...
We learn from one another! Xo
INTERMISSION™: The Beauty & Magic of a Single Flower
A flower that sits on a table in my home.
It was a gift from someone special so it holds even more meaning.
This single flower holds the magic and majesty of nature.🏵️ If you think about it, what did it take for that flower to grow?
Who planted the seed?
Who fed and watered it?
How many hours of sunlight were required for it to sprout, to grow, to bloom? 🌱
How many hands touched it before it made its way to me?
It's pretty profound to think of all the flowers that grow and do their thing without worry or anxiety or fear they're doing something wrong.
They know to grow and bloom.
We have the same ability. To surrender into who we're meant to be.
As Eckhart Tolle says in his book The Power of Now, "to relinquish inner resistance to what is."
And in The New Earth, to "appreciate something simple - a sight, a sound, a touch - when you see beauty, when you feel loving kindness toward another, sense the inner spaciousness that is the source and the background to that experience." then being is bliss.
Doesn't that feel easier?
Isn't that simpler?
We make it harder than it needs to be.
Look at a flower and take in its beauty, complexity and magic while feeling how easy it is to be exactly what you're meant to be when you surrender to what it, to who you are and allow life to unfold as it's meant to be.
(if even for a few minutes a day 😊)! Let me know what you think about the nature of flowers... We learn from one another. Xo
INTERMISSION™: Love is Healing
I woke with NO inspiration for what to talk about!
I grabbed my coffee ☕ (because you know I can't even begin to think without it!) and decided to sit on my balcony and read for a bit hoping inspiration would come.
Nothing from the book inspired me BUT I was inspired to get the book Journey to the Heart off my bookshelf...turned to a page at random and there it was...inspiration!
The passage I shared today spoke of how we are all healers because we are able to and are love.
Love is Healing.
So no matter your profession, you are a healer. A healer of self and others by showing and expressing your love.
Accept who you are, where you are and go forth today in l❤️ve.
We learn from one another...share the 💙.
INTERMISSION™: Embrace the High & Low
Past couple days have been spent talking about low vibe emotions like blame, shame, fear and worry.
🥺 We don't like those.
We run from those. 🏃
📺 We look for an escape route like Netflix, alcohol or drugs.
They are uncomfortable and create an imbalance within us.
⚛️ Let's play the WHAT IF Game.... What if we thought of them as a little nudge from a friend reminding us there's a part of us that needs some attention?
What if these emotions are showing up to guide us to a beautiful golden path that we would have otherwise missed if we were skipping along the well worn one?
What if leaned into the feelings of unease to learn why the feelings are there and radically accept them?
Who knows...we may learn something new about ourselves which allows us to make a different choice ultimately supporting our growth and evolution.
That sounds pretty amazing to me.
What do you think? 🏵️
What if during those times of stress and anxiety, we pause.
Take a deep breath. Maybe a few.
Recall a #F*ckYeahDay and really feel it...like you're right back there! (Big smile at the ready!)
And say either to yourself or out loud: I radically accept where I am right now.
Say it three times to really lock it in. And do this as often as needed in the day without judgment.
You'll be amazed how the energy will shift and things will unfold.
We learn from one another....
